Mahallak is a marketplace and local discovery platform. We collect and use information only when it is reasonably necessary to create accounts, publish stores and products, improve discovery, provide support, maintain security or comply with applicable obligations. Depending on how you use Mahallak, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, profile details, store information, product descriptions, prices, images, videos and messages sent through available contact channels. Merchants are responsible for ensuring that information published for their store is accurate, current and permitted to be shared.
We may receive technical and usage information such as device type, browser or application version, language preference, pages viewed, basic diagnostic data and interactions with platform features. This information helps us keep Mahallak reliable, understand which features are useful and identify misuse or security issues.
Mahallak may use a selected governorate or district, and—only when you grant the relevant permission—device location, to show nearby stores and improve local discovery. You can change your location choice or withdraw device-location permission through your device settings. Mahallak does not require a street address to browse local stores.
We use information to authenticate accounts, display store and product listings, connect shoppers with merchants, respond to support requests, personalize relevant discovery, communicate important service notices, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain records and improve the design and performance of Mahallak. We do not use your information for purposes that are materially incompatible with this policy without providing appropriate notice.
Store names, descriptions, business contact details, product information, images, videos and offers that a merchant chooses to publish may be visible to visitors and searchable through the platform. Do not publish personal, confidential or third-party information unless you have the right and permission to do so.
Mahallak may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, maintain or operate the platform, and when disclosure is required to comply with law, protect rights, investigate abuse or respond to a valid legal process. We do not sell personal information as a business model. Service providers are expected to handle information only for the services they provide to Mahallak.
We use reasonable technical, organizational and administrative measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal requirements or enforce our agreements.
You may update information in your account, change available permissions, stop using optional location access and request deletion of your account. Some information may remain temporarily where it is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or the resolution of an active matter.
